How Do You Picture America?

"The Last of the Mohicans, and American adventure tale by James Fenimore Cooper, became an instant bestseller when it was published in 1826.

While Cooper portrays the Uncas as a conventionally educated, English-speaking American indian, Weyeth romanticizes the hero's appearance, conforming to the ideal of the time."

Come to the library to see a poster-sized reproduction and our ongoing rotation of art representing a

cross-section of America.
