History of the Library

Library service has always been important for residents of Highland.  From 1994 to 2001 residents of Highland and Alpine were served by a joint-use facility at Mountain Ridge Jr. High.  In 2008 the city built a new city hall and dedicated a portion of the building for a city library and opened October 25, 2008.

The Highland City Library uses Polaris as it's circulation system management software.  While we believe the software if intuitive and easy to use, please feel free to contact library staff for additional instructions on how to use the system from home, including checking your account for holds, renewing materials, reserving materials, and other services exclusive to Highland City Library patrons.
